About

In 2007 after graduating as a Family Nurse Practitioner and becoming a Primary Care Provider at a holistic medicine practice in Washington State, Janel Hillstrom, MN, FNP-C recognized that mental health was integral to the well-being of an individual. Many hours were spent counseling patients through difficult times and trying to help patients reach their full potential. It was clear that adding a psychiatric specialty would be beneficial for providing truly holistic care.

Comprehensive Family Mental Healthcare was developed in 2020 as a clinic that is concerned about you and aspects of your life that are conflicting with your goals and desires. Our mission is to help those struggling with mental health concerns and we feel it a pleasure to participate in your care.

Our mission is rooted in the Recovery Model of care that asserts two things:

  1. Recovery from a mental health condition is possible.

  2. Effective recovery is based on you and centered on your individual needs.
